Tecktonik @ Vilnius

We head a lot of various opinions on tecktonik,
but as Johnny Bravo & Chibis arranged a performance on Vilnius street for us,
the passers-by have forgotten about the music, though it was Street Musician day
in Vilnius: just look at the face of a girl on the 2nd photo

1!

It was a year ago, March 4, when Laimikis has been started
(at first, but for short, as a part of “Pravda” zine).
Here is the very first lucky catch:

• names: Ieva, Diana & their friend,
  who has been as much scared of being photographed
  as we were scared of stopping and photographing passers by!
• place we met: Gediminas ave. It was only the next time we
  started interviewing our lucky catches

 

Dainius & draugai

• names: Dainius & Tadas, Martynas, Mantas;
• place we met: behind McDonalds on Gedimino pr.
• their places for beer: Apuokas, Būsi trečias (Totorių str),
  Šnekutis. “McDonalds? we do not popularize it!”
• they listen: ZZtop, Children of Bodom, etc.
• they are: students, and study tourism, music and architecture;
• also: from time to time they play in some band;
• and: Martynas is a manager [please check for
  vilnius rock project];

Ksenija & Sofija (o2)

once you photo some passers-by,
you start noticing them periodically on the streets
we love to catch these personages again and again -
as every time they get something new to share.

• what’s new? Ksenia is in love with Japanese
  culture, and she studies Japanese language;
• recent finding: Ukrainian hip hop: BoomBox
• they listen to: everything, what inet radio can give;

• place we met: a park by Gediminas ave;
• he listens: doom metal, black metal, dark metal, etc.
• favourite places: it used to be Barbacan (usual place for alternative people - now it’s impossible to get there);
• book he read recently: “Insomnia” by Stephen King;

 

Valerija & Julija

• names: Valerija & Julija;
• place we met (7 month ago!): central post office (Gedimino pr.);
• their friends Ksenija & Sofija also were caught by Laimikis;
• Valerija told us, that the hit of that season was Jack Skellington;
• Julija attends an art school, and they both listen
    ska-music, especially “Lagamino Turinys“
